This is the oldest surf school in the... read more island and is managed by Jamie and Dan Jones, the sons of the great Tim Jones, the founder of the school. The coaching is amazing and very well organized. After the warming up session in the beach, you do practice on the jump, pumping, maneuvers etc.. This part is fundamental as it gives the basis to apply in the water. A lot of time is then spent in the water applying what learned. Emilio, Luciano and Dan ware amazing coaches, super passionate, professional and very patient.
    A very important part is also dedicated to the security aspects in the water while surfing, how to behave in the water, what can be done and what shall never be done.
    This school is highly recommended for all level surfers. I will certainly come back.

Feel like I have taken... read more loads of info away with me that I can develop from paddling technique, turtle roll to pop up and surf etiquette. No stone was left unturned. Great atmosphere, supportive and professional. Will be rebooking for next year can’t recommend this enough - you won’t be disappointed

    If you are starting or trying to improve your surfing skills, sessions are adapted to your needs and level. During the time in the water you will feel supported, you are being watched, Tim and Jamie will come to you and give you tips on how to improve your technique according to your performance in the water so you can go back and apply the knowledge they shared. I was with a small group and it felt like individual coaching.

    You don't only get a coach but a mentor.

    Thank you for everything Tim and Jamie and hope to see you soon.

What you see in the Youtube video's (Tim has a lot excellent... read more and free content on youtube) is just the way it will be when you actually get there. Actually, sometimes it felt like I was in one of these video's, precisely because you are experiencing in real life the teachings of Tim. He is een an extraordinary coach, one of a kind and if you take your surfing seriously I strongly recommend you follow lessons from Tim. He sees everything, really everything. Every detail, even when you are far out in the line-up. Apart form being a great guy and very special human being, he's an amazing coach. Do not hesitate to book this school, you wil not regret it.

Having been to many surf schools in the UK and some overseas, the advice and pointers from Jamie at Surf School Lanzarote was invaluable and brought my families' surfing on further than any time before for all of us. Jamie and Tim were also attentive and caring when I injured myself. Injury however, did not detract from an amazing day.

    Thoroughly recommended.

    We are a family of 4; 2 adults and 2 children (aged 11 and 14) and have some surfing experience but previously struggled to pop up consistently. We booked for 1 full day surfing.
