Surf School Lanzarote is based i the picturesque village of Caleta de Famara on the north coast of Lanzarote. Famara beach is the perfect place for surfing lessons in Lanzarote, we coach surfers of all ages and abilities to learn and improve their skills.
At our surf school we have over 30 years of coaching experience. Our instructors at Surf School Lanzarote train and re-train, not only to keep our coaching at the highest level, but also to ensure your safety.

Learn to Surf in Lanzarote
Our beginner surfing lessons and courses at Surf School Lanzarote are the best way to get into this wonderful sport. We have a low instructor to pupil ratio of 1:8 or less and use our long perfected system of structured coaching which we tailor to your needs.
Softboards are used at first and then progressing onto fibreglass boards once you have mastered the basics.
Longboard Surf Lessons in Lanzarote
The style and grace of riding longboards of nine feet plus in length attracts many surfers. We have devised a great coaching system for longboard surfing lessons that works really well no matter what your surfing level is.
In fact longboarding often requires more technique and control than conventional shortboarding. We will open up these techniques to you in our lessons.

Our Qualifications
We run ISA instructor training courses in Sri Lanka our sister school and have trained many ISA coaches over many years.
Very importantly we are also qualified Beach Life Guards. All instructors hold the Surf Life Saving Association, Royal Life Saving Society or NAR’s Awards. These awards are renewed every 2 years. This guarantees a level of safety of the highest standard.
